A GREAT Training Run!

4:26:54 is the best training run I've ever done. I wouldn't say it's the worst race for me, unless you go strictly by finish time :-) The wheels fell off a bit early, between 18-19 miles, and the dastardly cramps set in. It was a son-of-a-b!t#h to walk/run home, but I'm satisfied and content with finishing. Next up - Disney. First, a shower, then a flight home.

Good job! Good time. Coming a little undone at MP 19 isn't "early" for trouble to set in, that's pretty normal (the wall). That wall is hard to climb over and sometimes you can't make it. You're gonna love Disney, b/c at MP 19 you're just out of Animal Kingdom and you still have two theme parks to go (and a marina type villa you run through just before the Grand Finale at Epcot). You have to get by a mile and a half of desolate roads to get to MGM though, but once you're there, set it on auto-pilot!

What?! You ran 26.2 miles as a training run? You are hardcore. And that's an excellent time. I'm running the Honolulu Marathon on Sunday, but I'm doing it as a training run for Carlsbad in January. And there is no way I am prepared to race a marathon based on the inconsistend training I've done over the past few months.

Great job!!! Can't wait to hear the details!

Congratulations! Anyone who aims for marathons in back-to-back months deserves a lot of credit...and several bags of ice.

You've got my training runs beat, for sure. Nice work. Must have been those ribs.

Nice work, amigo. If you're at the point where a marathon is a training run, then it's time to take it to the next level. (El Scorcho '08???)

Okay. Nice 4+ trainer.
I wish I could race that well.
So you're coming to Disney. You'll have to make time for a visit. I'll be here and can steer you right.s.

Write me off-line and we'll make some plans.
