There's a lot to be said for certainty. Now you can plan for a wonderful day in NYC in the fall of 2009 (all except the wait in Fort Wadsworth part). Bridges, five boroughs, all the ethnic crowds, the start on Staten Island over the world's longest suspension span bridge (or it used to be--I watched the Verazzano Bridge being built when I was a child), the run down Fifth Avenue, the finish in Central Park, wow!
NYC '09 has a better ring to it anyway. Now you have all the time you need to train, right?

I actually don't know anyone who got in....crazy!! I don't guess I'll be reading NYC race reports this year!
Only a dream for me. Will I be able to run again a marathon?

aaw, sorry, but 2009 sounds like a plan. unfortunately that means i'll have to squeeze in 9 NYRR races and 1 volunteer day in the next 6 months to get in. but if nothing else, i'll definitely be there to cheer you on.
I thought it was automatic the third time. No? Fourth time is the make-good? Okay.
