I Finished NYC!

Unofficial time 4:09 and change. Not a PR but I'm very happy with it. It's been 22 months since my last marathon (Disney Jan 2008), so that's pretty good for me. I also accomplished a goal of not stopping at all during the run, not even through water stops - an emotional goal but a goal nonetheless. I ran through side stitches and slight cramps. I was smoking through the the first half at below 4:00 pace, but the 2nd half was another story. When will I ever learn?!

Waiting for my flight from Newark now.

Congratulations on a great race! NYC is a tough course. I'm looking forward to a full race report. How did the race compare to others? Would you run it again? How long did you have to wait at the start?

Congrats. Glad you made it to the finishing line without stopping. You are almost half as good as the winner! Good show. Take care. Dad

Congratulations on such a good time for that course. I watched the highlights on NBC - weather looked close to perfect. It had to be difficult to dodge that many people in the early miles.

Belated congratulations from all the five S's. We tried to stick with you and watch you blaze through that finish line with visions of glory and all that but, they cut off the live feed...!
