This is a shorter list than I thought. There's more places pre-2002 that I now wish I had run in, but too late for that. Memorable runs and routes to follow later ...

I knew a guy who kept "score" on a year-by-year basis, with the following score sheet. Each state, country, or Canadian province run in was worth at least one point. If you ran 10 to 99 miles there, two points. 100 to 999 miles, three points. 1000 to 9999 miles, four points. (I expect it's possible to have a five-point state, but not for anyone I know.) I tallied up for the last year I did significant travelling and ran uninjured, and was in the high 20s, because nearly every state was a two-pointer, and I had a few three-pointers.
Good for you pjm! I suspect it's harder than it sounds, even just to get into the high 20's.
The two story, WWII style barracks that would become our home-for some for 5 weeks and for others, such as myself, 8 weeks-away from home didn't disappoint me. Tarnish is when the jewellery steel reacts with other chemicals and elements to create impurities in the silver that then dulls the natural shine. Right about now, somewhere in New Delhi, or Singapore, or Copenhagen, someone is racing past the bold and italicized message in large font, probably excitedly yelling out to their spouse in their respective mother tongue- "Honey, check this out! I can get this beautiful Swiss watch REALLY CHEAP!!!" Getting a second job doesn't mean working nights stocking shelves at Wal-Mart.
